Learning to Serve

Every year, our church hosts a Valentine Banquet for our congregation's senior citizens. The gym is decorated for the night and includes candlelight, plenty of red and white decorations, and a lighted archway. The 3rd-5th graders are responsible for greeting the adults, helping them find a seat, taking their drink orders, serving their dinners, and talking with seniors as they enjoy their meals. It is a wonderful event and the perfect opportunity for the kids to give back to the Christian men and women who serve as role models and mentors. Laiken was honored to have been a part of this special night.
